A note of appreciation. Carey and Lynn Dillon of Kumara have kindly assisted us by providing this image gallery link and many of the superb Wilderness Lodge photos for you to use. For 30 years they have led conservation campaigns. They successfully fought to stop the burning of regenerating rimu forests (for pine plantations) and stopped the wasteful destruction of ancient rimu trees. More recently they have challenged the expansion of dairy farming on the West Coast where it damages wetlands and lake and stream margins and threatens water quality. Carey and his wife Lynne are self employed. All their conservation campaigning is self funded. They craft magnificent rimu bowls from fallen wood. They have an international reputation for the quality and craftsmanship of these bowls and for superb nature, landscape and wildlife photos.
